Karoca 22 was born from a simple wish - to bring more to the table in the rural areas around Drniš, Knin and Oklaj. Through mobile food we want to make quality meals easier to reach, and to run a mix of commercial programs and community projects along the way.
why we exist
Because small places deserve a varied, quality food scene just as much as the cities do. We live in rural Dalmatia and we love it — but we also know it sometimes runs short on choice. Not because what's already here isn't good, but because every community grows when it has more options.
Karoca 22 brings that choice on wheels. Fish Friday for those who love fish but don't have time to cook it. Marenda for working folks who want a proper meal in the middle of the day. Our pasta and risotto program for families who like trying something new.
We come on wheels because we want to be part of everyday life here — no waiting, no fuss, but always the same quality. And part of what we make we give back to the community, through programs for older neighbours and children, because we believe food doesn't just feed the body — it feeds the ties that hold us together.

Miro Role: In charge of the menu, quality control, recipes and standards, sourcing and running the kitchen.
He blends serious cooking with local roots - he doesn't just know the difference between homemade and industrial, he knows why it matters.
Driven by the idea that traditional can be modern, and that local can compete on any table in the world.
In short: cooks by the book — with a signature you won't find in any cookbook.
Karin Role: Guards the taste and quality of every dish, and gives strategic backup in the kitchen.
She pairs traditional recipes with a modern take on hospitality - she believes an empty seat at the table is a missed chance, and a happy guest is the best advertising there is.
She cooks like she's cooking for her own family — just in bigger portions.
In short: traditional on the plate, professional in the approach, honest in the welcome.
Katarina Role: Runs operations, the events calendar, marketing and finance.
After years in the corporate world, she now points that experience toward her own community - putting the skills she picked up to work where they really matter.
Because the best skills aren't the ones that stay in an office - they're the ones that find their way back home.
